Privacy Policy

Last updated 30 July 2026 · Applies to the Shree Navkar Parivar mobile application, formerly called Navkar Group (iOS and Android), and this website.

Shree Navkar Parivar is a religious and charitable trust in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India (Reg. No. 1273). We run the Shree Navkar Parivar app for our own members. This policy explains what the app records about you, why, who else can see it, and what you can ask us to do about it.

We do not sell your information, we do not run advertising, and we do not share the directory with anyone outside the parivar.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Shree Navkar Parivar (“we”, “the trust”, “the samiti”) is the data fiduciary for the information described here. You can reach us using the details in section 11.

2. What we collect

Information you give us when you join

Membership is by application, and the samiti reviews every request. When you register you provide:

Most of these are optional. The fields required to create an account are your name, mobile number and gender; the rest you can leave blank or fill in later.

Information created as you use the app

Information collected automatically

We do not collect your location, your contacts, your photo library beyond the images you deliberately pick, your device identifiers for advertising, or any behavioural analytics. The app contains no advertising SDK and no third-party tracker.

3. Why we use it

Keeping the parivar's recordsAggregate totals the samiti reports each month

Under Indian law we rely on your consent, given when you submit your application and when you choose to fill in each optional field.

4. Who can see your information

Other members

The directory is visible only to members the samiti has approved. It is not published on the internet, is not indexed by search engines, and is not available to anyone browsing without an approved member account. Within it, you control what is shown. Your profile has individual switches for your phone number, email address, date of birth, area, gotra, marriage anniversary, family details, business details and social handles. Turn one off and other members stop seeing it. You can change these at any time from your profile.

The samiti

Administrators can see member records in order to review applications, approve photographs, manage events and drives, and produce the trust's monthly accounts.

Service providers

We use a small number of companies to run the app. They process data on our instructions only.

WhoWhat they receiveWhy
2Factor.in (India)Your mobile number and the one-time passwordTo send the sign-in SMS
Razorpay (India)Payment details you enter at checkout, the amount, and contact details you give themTo process online donations. Card and bank details go to Razorpay directly — we never see or store them. We keep only their order and payment reference.
Cloudflare R2Profile and event photographsTo store images
Expo / Apple / GoogleYour push notification tokenTo deliver notifications

Our own database and application server are operated by the trust on a private server; the database is not exposed to the internet.

Nobody else

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We share it outside the parivar only if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.

5. Donations and payments

Donating to the trust's charitable drives is entirely voluntary and unlocks nothing — every feature of the app is available to every approved member whether or not they ever give. On iPhone and iPad, donations are not collected in the app at all: the app opens our website in your browser and the donation is made there. On Android and on the website, donations are processed by Razorpay. Donation totals and donor counts for each drive are visible to members; the samiti exports a full record each month for the trust's accounts.

6. How long we keep it

7. Your rights

You can ask us to:

Write to us at the address in section 11 and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Security

Sign-in is by one-time password, so there is no password to be stolen or reused. Traffic between the app and our server is encrypted with HTTPS. Session tokens are stored in your device's secure storage. Access to member records is limited to administrators the samiti appoints. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The app is intended for adult members of the parivar. We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 18. Family members you add — including children — are entries in your own family record, not accounts, and are covered by your family privacy setting. If you believe a child has registered independently, contact us and we will remove the account.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and, for anything significant, tell members in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
